Inserting text in Dreamweaver

In the Dreamweaver Design work area type any text of your choice. Select it and from Properties panel set formatting attributes for your text, such as font, color, size and etc.

You can make this text a hypertext link if you type link location in Link field or you can apply any css style to it.

Inserting images

To insert images to your web site select Insert -> Image. From the dialog window that pop up choose an image from your local hard disk storage to insert it in the page.

Use Properties panel of this image to apply any preferences to it, such as name, size, alternative text and etc.
